AZUSA AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY, MAY .17, 1971 The monthly reports from Departments, Boards, and -Commis- sions were presented by the City Administrator. Moved by Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Snyder and unanimously carried to file. A report was received from the Director of Public Works e: Substandard Structure Abatement Order, per Resolution o. 5814, adopted 2/1/71, for 737 N. Azusa Avenue (Marsh, airchild & Suman, Inc.). According to the report, no apparent work has been done on this building since the first abatement proceedings were: initiated on 12/1/70 up to the present, although Resolution No. 5814 stated that the abatement must be completed within ninety (90) days from tyle date of receipt of same by the legal owner, and the date of receipt was 2/5/71 Mr. A. L. Suman, one of the legal owners, addressed Council and asked if Council was maintaining or had deviated from its policy of having vacant buildings inspected by the Building Inspector. After discussion, it was Moved by Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Snyder that this matter be referred to the District Attorney for appropriate legal. action. Azusa Avenue (Elizabeth C. Hahn). According to the report, no apparent work has been done on this building since the "irst abatement proceed- ings were initiated on 11/25/70 up to the present, although Resolution No. 5813 stated that the abatement must be completed within ninety (90) days from the date of receipt of same by the legal owner; a certified letter containing a copy of said Resolution was mailed to the legal owner on 2/4/71 and was refused. Although a notice had been sent to the legal owner of this property, advising that Council would be taking action on the abatement of the subject structure on this date, no one appeared regarding this matter.
