a revision of the Personnel Rules & Regulations Section amend. Section
91 re: Holidays. The recommendation would exempt Police 91 of R&R re:
& Fire Personnel from receiving Holiday pay during their Holidays

The City Clerk pointed out that when the Council had
adopted the Resolution which brought the Personnel Rules

Holidays, the Resolution had inadvertently made a change
in policy which had not been the intention of the Council
to do. This change allowed the interpretation whereby
persons whose job requires shift work, i.e., the Police
& Fire Personnel, 'o be eligible to receive compensation
of one and one ha f times for their normal working time
on Sundays. He recommended, along with the Personnel
Board, that a Resolution be adopted rectifying this
error. A Resolution was presented which would rectify
this error, effective as of February 1, 1971.

of Cornell, Howland, Hayes & Merryfield presented a
report, with the use of slides, to the City Council
concerning the City's Electrical Distribution System.
His statements were included in the formal written report

the City's electrical distribution system in very good
'condition, having been planned well and maintained in
a very good manner. The report did not show need for
the construction of a new substation at this time, but
did indicate the need for conversion,of the r-maining
