TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
VIA: SERGIO GONZALES, CITY MANAGER
FROM: ROCKY WENRICK, INTERIM CHIEF OF POLICE
DATE: APRIL 4, 2022
SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF AZUSA POLICE DEPARTMENT INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR
PAINTING
BACKGROUND:
Building Paint is worn and is showing excessive damage and needs repairs. The Interior was last
painted in 2008 and the Exterior of the Building was last painted in 1999 when building was
constructed.
RECOMMENDATION(S):
It is recommended that the City Council take the following action:
1)Approve the Azusa Police Department Building Painting for Interior and Exterior by Trademark
Painting Inc, 889 Mission Blvd, Riverside, CA 92509 in an amount not to exceed $49,938.00 for
Interior and $51,600.00 for Exterior.
ANALYSIS:
The facilities at the Azusa Police Department were last upgraded in 1999. At that time the exterior of the
building was painted. The interior of the Azusa Police Department was last painted in 2008. The
painting of the exterior and interior of the police department will enhance the first impression visitors
and community members see when visiting the department. The enhanced appearance assists in the
department’s motto of “Professional Service to a Proud Community.”
The Azusa Police Department solicited bids for the interior and exterior paint and Trademark Painting
Inc. came in with a bid of $49,938.00 for interior and $51,600.00 for exterior.
