REGULAR MEETING Mayor Gonzales called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL: Roll call was taken by City Clerk Cornejo. PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: BECKWITH, AVILA Jr., ALVAREZ, MENDEZ, GONZALES ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ALSO PRESENT Elected Officials: City Clerk Cornejo. Staff Members: City Manager Gonzalez, City Attorney Marco, Chief of Police Wenrick, Director of Administrative Services Johnson, Director of Public Works/City Engineer Delgadillo, Deputy City Manager DeAnda-Scaia, Director of Community Resources Carpenter, IT and Library Services Director Graf, and Chief Deputy City Clerk Garcia. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Beckwith PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Trish Gonzales spoke in favor of Agenda Item 4 RFP for PD Tow Services CONSENT CALENDAR – CITY COUNCIL 1. Personnel Action Requests in accordance with the City of Azusa Civil Service Rules and applicable Memorandum of Understanding(s) was approved. Total Cost: N/A Is the cost of this item budgeted? Amended and Restated Facilities Use Agreement Amendment No. 3 for use of city facilities for COVID testing, by and between the County of Los Angeles and the City of Azusa; and, Authorize the City Manager to execute the Amended and Restated Facilities Use Agreement Amendment No. 3 for use of City Facilities, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, on behalf of the City was approved. Authorize the City Manager to execute an Exchange Agreement with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to exchange the City’s Federal Surface Transportation Program- Local and Highway Infrastructure Programs fund balances for local return dollars; and Appropriate $940,000 of LACMTA funds for the Arrow Highway Median Installation Project and $239,242 of LACMTA funds for the Foothill Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation Project was approved. Reappoint Mayor Robert Gonzales to The San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District for 2- year appointment ending December 31, 2025 was approved. Approve Mayor Robert Gonzales to accept the funding from CAL OES for High Frequency Communications Equipment on behalf of the City; and Approve the purchase of High Frequency radio equipment offered through the reimbursable CAL OES HF Communications Equipment Grant in an amount not to exceed $60,000. was approved. Authorize the City Manager to execute all contracts, reports, and other documents required for receiving such funds pursuant to the terms and conditions of the U.S. Department of Justice was approved.
