Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Clark, Solem Absent: Councilmen: Snyder Also Present: City Administrator Dangleis, Accounting Director Cooney, Director of Public Works Wells, City Clerk Klarr The Mayor.declared the purpose of this meeting was to accept the transfer of certain assets of the Azusa Agricultural Water Company. The City Clerk certified that a copy of the Notice of Special Meeting was delivered to each of the following members of the City Council at the date and time set forth after.. his name: Council Member Jens J. Hodge #130 Mrs. SnydOr received the notice on behalf of her husband, who was out of _town. -31 `117$- he The City Clerk further certified that the following Certif. of newspapers, which have submitted letters requesting Notice to notice of all meetings of the City Council, were notified Newspapers by him both by telephone and Certified Special Delivery Mail on March 1, 1973: Daily News -Post, Monrovia San Gabriel Valley Newspapers, Inc., West Covina Azusa Herald, Azusa Pasadena Independent Star -News, Pasadena The Director of Public Works presented a Grant Deed from the Azusa Agricultural Water Company which included all physical property and the pumping rights. It was.noted by the Mayor that the City of Azusa owns 85% of the stock of this company. The company is taxed and the City has to pay 85� of the tax money annually. By owning the company, the City would not have to pay this annual tax. Discussion was held with regard to the loca- tion of the office and records of the company, once it is accepted by the City. Councilman Decker offered the Resolution entitled: Res. #6069 accptg. Corp. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA Grant Deed ACCEPTING A CORPORATION GRANT DEED AND DIRECTING THE (Az.Agric. RECORDATION THEREOF. Water Co.) AZUSA AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 1973 Page 2 Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Rubio and unanimously carried that further reading be waived. Moved.by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Rubio that the Resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of Council: AYES: Cpunoimen.; Rubio, Decker, Clark, Solem. NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Snyder and numbered'Resolution 6069. Moved by Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Decker Adjourn and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned.
