The Director of Public Works presented a Grant Deed from
the Azusa Agricultural Water Company which included all
physical property and the pumping rights.
It was noted by the Mayor that the City of Azusa owns 85%
of the stock of this company. The company is taxed and
the City has to pay 85% of the tax money annually. By
owning the company, the City would not have to pay this
annual tax. Discussion was held with regard to the loca-
tion of the office and records of the company, once it is
accepted by the City.
