ANALYSIS:
It was determined that Ford will not guarantee the production of 2024 Ford Utility Police
Interceptors to agencies with small fleets and therefore the change from Ford to Dodge vehicles
needs to be made (purchased).
These Four (4) Dodge Durango Pursuit vehicles will be used as marked patrol units. The County
of Los Angeles Purchase order was granted at a base price, not including tax and tire fees of
$50,810.16 per SUV. Which includes driver and front passenger side-impact airbags. The total
cost for the four (4) marked patrol units inclusive of tax and tire fees is $203,240.64
FISCAL IMPACT:
There are adequate funds available for this purchase using the 2023/2024 Police Equipment
Replacement Fund account #4620310000-7135 for the four (4) marked patrol vehicles
