Due to unforeseen/unknown items discovered by crew members during the lead abatement/demolition of the existing bullet trap, existing plans could not be used. After discussing these issues with InVeris, modifications had to be made. The plans had to be re-engineered to shorten the firing lanes by approximately nine feet. This, along with extending labor forces and purchasing of additional equipment, resulted in a change order to complete the upgrade. RECOMMENDATION(S): Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action(s): 1)Authorize a budget amendment for an increase of $7,260.50 to cover the cost of the change order with InVeris. ANALYSIS: To cover the costs to re-engineer the plans, a change order was issued. This action authorizes a budget amendment for an increase of $7,260.50 in account #46 80 000 310 7125 31023A to complete the project and cover the cost of the change order with InVeris.
