AZUSA AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 1974
The City Council of the City of Azusa :met in adjourned
regular session at the above time and place.
Mayor Decker called the meeting to order.
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Cruz, Arkison, Decker
Absent: Councilmen: Rubio, Solem
Also Present: City Administrator Dangleis, Finance
Officer Cooney, City Clerk Klarr

Call to Order

The City Clerk presented a letter from the Community
Health Care Clinic, 210 S. Irwindale Avenue, Azusa.
The communication asked the Council to reconsider its
previous action and award a contract for industrial
accident care and pre-employment physicals to the Commun-
ity Health Care Clinic, rather than Glendora Hospital.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to receive and file the communi-
cation.
The City Administrator presented a Memorandum of Under-
standing with the Public Employees Union, Lucal 986,
Agreements with non -represented employees, and salary
recommendations for non -represented middle management
and management levels.
Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Arkison
and unanimously carried to accept and approve the salary
recommendations and the Memoranda of Understanding as
presented by the City Administrator.
The City Administrator presented a recommended resolution
standardizing—the. remuneration for all standby
services within the City.
Councilman Arkison offered the Resolution entitled:

and unanimously carried that further reading be waived.

The City Administrator presented a proposed resolution Res. #6219
establishing the Table of Organization & Compensation for re: Table of

Councilman Arkison offered the Resolution entitled:

ORGANIZATION AND COMPENSATION IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS

and unanimously carried that further reading be waived.

Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz City Council

additional $10,000.

The City Administrator presented a proposed resolution Res. -#6220
adopting the budget appropriations for 1974-75 fiscal year. adopt.budget

Councilman Arkison offered the Resolution entitled: fiscal year
1974-75

Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried by roll call that further reading

The City Administrator presented an amendment to the
Agreement between the City and Western Disposal to
provide for the new services, whereby Western Disposal will
pickup large items and eliminate the need for clean -up -week.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Rubio
and unanimously carried to approve the amendment to the
Agreement between the City & Western Disposal and authorize
the Mayor to sign.

The City Administrator presented his request for per- Appvl.of req.
mission to take vacation from July 1, to July 55 1974 and by City.Adm.
August 19 to August 30, 1974 with Finance Officer Edward for vacation
A. Cooney to be appointed as Acting City Administrator in dates
his absence.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to authorize requested vacation
time by the City Administrator and to appoint Finance
Officer Cooney as Acting City Administrator in his absence.
The City Administrator presented an Agreement between the
City and R. L. Kauts re: self insurance for Workmen's
Compensation.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Rubio
and unanimously carried to approve the Agreement between
the City and R. L. Kauts and authorize the Mayor to sign
and City Clerk to attest same.
The Mayor again raised the matter of the communication
from the Azusa Fireman's Association requesting to
address Council re: salaries and wages.
Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Arkison
that the request be denied. The motion was passed by the
following vote of Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Arkison, Decker
NOES: Councilmen: Cruz
ABSENT: Councilmen: Solem
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to adjourn.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:28 p.m.
