' The City Administrator presented the letter from the Director of Public Works in which he gave the history of the private street easterly from Cerritos Avenue between Fourth Street and Rodecker Drive. The City does not own the property. In order for the City to reconstruct it to meet City standards which would not be feasible because: 1. Street Sweeping - There is no adequate room at the rminushe street to construct a cul de sac, therefore, the street sweeper will not be able to clean it and that will require frequent hand cleaning or flushing. 2. Set Backs - Because it was originally a driveway, building set backs did not have to be adhered to and the buildings are built very close to the probable right-of-way line. This would make the entire apartment complex a non -conforming structure according to the City's Planning Ordinances. The estimated cost to reconstruct would be $10,000. The subject property is presently up for tax sale.
