The City Council of the City ,of Azusa met in regular session
at the above time and place.
Mayor Pro Tem Rubio called the meeting to order and led in Call to Order
salute to the flag.
Invocation was given by Father Royer of St. Frances of Invocation
Rome Church.
Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Rubio and Mayor Decker
unanimously carried that Mayor Decker be excused from meeting.excused from mtg.

Minutes of 8/4/75 regular meeting were submitted for
Council approval.
Moved by Councilman Solem, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to approve minutes of 8/4/75 meeting.
At the request of Mayor Pro Tem Rubio, Council reconvened
as CRA for progress report.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
that Council recess into a CRA meeting.

Mr. Louis Zimrm rli, 935 W. 1st Street, Chairman of Redevelop-
ment Advisory Committee, addressed Council. He gave a chrono-
logical report of CRA meetings to this date. At the July 21st
meeting Council authorized appointment of Mr. Eugene Jacobs,
as special counsel for Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Zimmerli
offered, with Council approval, to contact Mr. Jacobs, and
schedule a meeting with CRA Advisory Committee.

unanimously carried to authorize Mr. Zimmerli to contact
Mr. Jacobs and schedule a meeting with CRA Advisory Committee.
Councilman Cruz suggested that Mr. Jack Loether, Publisher
of the Azusa Herald, be added as a member of the CRA Advisory
Committee.
Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman F.rkison
and unanimously carried to reconvene as Council.
'Community Redevelopment Agency reconvened as Council at
7:55 p.m.
Item which had been tabled from 8/4/75 meeting, proposed
Settlement Agreement for interim water services between
Baldwin Park County Water District, Progressive Transpor-
tation Company and City of Azusa, was again presented to
Council.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to lift from table.

City Attorney Wakefield addressed Council and clarified
some portions of his letter, which had been questioned by
Council, concerning proposed Settlement Agreement.
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried that City enter into Settlement
Agreement for interim water services between Baldwin Park
County Water District, Progressive Transportation Company
and City of Azusa, authorize the Mayor to execute and
City Clerk to attest said Agreement.

Mrs. Lillian McNamara, 621 N. Cerritos, Apt. #202, Azusa, Remarks by
addressed Council complaining of actions by Police Officers, Mrs. Lillian
against her son. Council advised her that Chief Elkins McNamara
was on vacation and that her allegations would be reported
on, at the meeting of 9/2/75•
A request was submitted from residents of 1100 block of Req.for block
Soldano Drive, to hold a block party with permission to party, from
block off the 1100 block of Soldano Drive from 4:30 to residents of
12:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 23, 1975. 1100 block of
Soldano Dr.
Council expressed concern that request was not signed
by all residents of the block, this could cause problems. (Request
denied)
Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Rubio
and unanimously carried to deny request, and inform them
of reason for denying.
