Invocation was given by Rev. B. J. Paroulek of First Invocation Presbyterian Church. Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Solem and unanimously carried to approve minutes as submitted. Mayor Decker presented a Resolution to Miss Yolanda Pres.of Res. Luevano commending her on her coronation as queen of the to Miss 1975 Sixteenth of September Fiesta. Yolanda Luevano 'The item which had been tabled from December 1, 1975 Council meeting re: building department fees, was again brought before Council. Director of Public Works stated he is waiting for more information from other cities concerting building depart- ment structure; report would be ready., -for next Council meeting. A proposed Resolution was presented, 'calling and giving notice of a General Municipal Election to be held in the City of Azusa, on March 2, 1976. Councilman Solem offered the Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 2ND DAY OF MARCH, 1976, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PRO- VISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES. Councilman Rubio and Councilman Homes, Inc., concerning broken water lines in Azusa C.Atty.re: Carefree Condominium Homes development, giving them 30 broken water days to correct this situation. Since more than 30 days lines at Az. have elapsed, the next step for Council to pursue would Carefree be to authorize the City Attorney to file suit to enforce Condominium our agreements with Hallcraft Homes, Inc. Councilman Arkison dissenting. City Administrator reminded Council that requirements Pub.Hrg.to of Federal and State laws require that two public hearings be held at be held, re: projects to be funded under Housing & Com- adj.mtg. munity Development Act of 1974. He suggested first 12/18/75 re: hearing be held December 18, 1975, which would require Housing & Council to hold an adjourned meeting on that date. Com.Develop. ' Councilman Arkison requested current information concern - Act of 1974 ing the building at 708 N. Azusa Ave., owned,by Leo Nasser.Rpt.on bldg. Director of Public Works addressed Council and stated that @708 N.Azusa Mr. Nasser does have an engineer working on the plans for Ave. rehabilitation of building and requests Council extend him time for engineer to complete plans for bringing building up to code. City Attorney recommended that City Clerk be authorized to write to Mr. Nasser and inform him that he has 60 days from 00 date of this meeting to get rehabilitation plans completed, and submitted, or City will proceed with abatement proceed- ings. Councilman Rubio requested information regarding Cable TV Rpt. on survey questionnaire which has been distributed throughout Cable TV the City. Paul Allen, Chairman of Cable TV Committee, addressed Council explaining survey being currently conducted. He further reported on financial and technical installation of wiring to begin around January 2nd in the northern section of the City. After completion of wiring, service for Cable TV will be available within 90 days. City Clerk read in full a Resolution authorizing payment Res.#6363 of warrants by the City. Claims & Demands Councilman Solem offered the Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING THE FUNDS OUT OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID. Moved by Councilman Solem, seconded by Councilman Arkison and unanimously carried by roll call that the Resolution be adopted.
