Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in Call to Order salute to the flag. Invocation was given by Mr. Frank Herber of Church of Invocation Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Solem and carried by roll call to increase license fee from $4.00 to $6.00, late charge to $3.00 and maintenance of impounded animals to $2.00, all others to remain the same. Direct the City Attorney to prepare necessary Ordinance to effect changes in the Municipal Code. Councilman Cruz dissenting. Chan, Building Code and Fire Protection Consultant, hired by Mr. Leo Nasser for rehabilitation of building at 708 N. Azusa Avenue, addressed Council. He informed Council that positive action has been taken on referenced project, he is not delaying the project but is behind because of a heavy work load. After discussion, it was Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Cruz and unanimously carried to extend the time an additional sixty days for time to begin construction of needed repairs and alterations. City Clerk read in full a Resolution authorizing payment Res.#6387 of warrants by the City. Claims & Demands Councilman Decker offered the Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING THE FUNDS OUT OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID. ^'J Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Arkison and unanimously carried by roll call that the Resolution be adopted. JUNE HART AS MEMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR UNEXPIRED TERM OF ROBERT FRY. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Arkison and carried by roll call that further reading be waived. Police Chief stated he was not familia-.- with this grant, and requested he have time to s`. and report back to Council.
