The project has now been completed. The proposed actions will accept the improvements and authorize Staff to file a Notice of Completion. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council take the following actions: 1)Accept the project improvements; and 2)Authorize Staff to file a Notice of Completion for the State funded Pioneer Park Playground Equipment Replacement Project. ANALYSIS: The completed project replaced equipment at Pioneer Park that had fallen into a state of disrepair due to age and use. Replacement of the playground equipment was established as a high priority by the Parks and Recreation Commission. The theme chosen was a nature concept with brightly colored playground equipment. An all-new component call Movement Play was integrated into the design for fun, exercise, development and play, which is kid-powered and packed with games. This is the first of its kind in an Azusa Park.
