Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Arkison and unanimously carried to add a third position (Assis- tant City Administrator) in the .5 Range, at $2,500 per year. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried to increase budget for Annual City Report by $500., and to approve Budget Account #5100 as revised. City Administrator presented Budget Account #5240 (Animal Regulation) for review by Council. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Arkison and unanimously carried to approve as revised. City Administrator presented Budget Account #5310 (Engineering) for review by Council. Object Account #100 to be increased by $2,500. for temporary employees (technical services in connection with grants). Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Arkison and unanimously carried to approve as revised. City Administrator presented Budget Account #5320 (Streets) for review by Council. 'Object Account #261 increased by $10 170. (restore Street Sweeper position). Object Account A40 decreased $b,000. (delete conversion of dump truck). Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Cruz and carried by roll call to retain dump truck conversion, deletion of which was recommended by City Administrator. Relative to request by National Little League for bleachers, it was 00 CC Moved by Councilman Arkison, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried to direct City Administrator to twrite a letter to National Little League explaining V why it is not possible for City to furnish bleachers. Little League for bleachers (denied) Workmen's Compensation T City Administrator presented Council with the names of Pre-employment two hospitals being considered for pre-employment physicals. physicals City Council was asked to select one of the two hospitals to conduct physicals. City Administrator presented for Council consideration Water Rate recommended water rate adjustment as follows: adjustment A. Put Water Department on a self-sustaining basis. B. Insure availability of fU nds for mandated costs connected with excess pumping and added costs of operation. C. Adjust golf course rate to the amount specified in agreement with golf course. D. Eliminate agricultural rate which is presently enjoyed solely by Monrovia Nursery which is outside the City.
