The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned
regular session at the above time and place.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz,
Moses, Solem
' Also Present: City Administrator Dangleis, Finance
Officer Cooney, Director of Public Works
Wells, Chief of Police Elkins, Personnel
Board Chairman Allen, Personnel Board
Member Jones, City Clerk Solis
City Administrator advised Council that approval of
budget accounts would be on a tentative basis pending
outcome of Proposition #13 (Jarvis -Gann Initiative) on
the June Primary Election.
City Administrator presented Budget Account #5090
(Building) for review by Council.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account 5090
as submitted.
City Administrator presented Budget Account #5230
(Building Regulation) for review by Council.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
and .unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #5030
as submitted.
'City Administrator presented Budget Account #5310
(Engineering) for review by Council.
Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #5310
as submitted.
City Administrator presented Budget Account #5320
(Streets) for review by Council.
Object Account #440 was amended by deleting the
following equipment:
1 New vacumn street sweeper $503000.
23 Reconditioned roller 50,000.
Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried to delete one (1) Street Sweeper
Position.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #5320
as amended.
'City Administrator presented Budget Account #5330
(Parking Facilities) and Budget Account #5340 (Gate
Maintenance) for review by Council.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
and unanimously carried to approve Budget Accounts #9_330
and 5340 as submitted.

Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #6000
as amended.
City Administrator presented Budget Account #5080
(Personnel) for review by Council.
Personnel Board Chairman Allen requested a 15% increase

on Object Account 210 (Advertising and Promotions) from
AFC—O
$1,871. to $2,150.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #5080
as amended.
City Administrator presented Budget Account #5210
Police
(Police) for review by Council.

City Administrator recommended that five (5) Police
Officer positions be left vacant.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses
and unanimously carried to delete (3) replacement patrol
units (4 door sedans) from Object Account #440, item
request would be reduced from $45,000 to $41,000.
