The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in Call to Order the salute to the flag. Charles Lewis, President Azusa Chamber of Commerce presented Presentation Miss Azusa, Deanna Fogarty, and her court to the City of Miss Azusa Council, and Court 1 Council adjourned to Redevelopment Agency at 7:45 p.m. CRA reconvened as City Council at 8:15 p.m, Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried by roll call to approve ratification of payment of $125.00 to Gladstone High School for ad in high school annual. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Cruz and unanimously carried to receive and file request from City of San Fernando for City of Azusa's participation and financial support in its lawsuit by Ray Marshall, Secretary of Labor, U. S. Department of Labor re: violation of age discrimination in employment act of 1967.
