Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in
the salute to the flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Frank Herber of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The hour of 7:30 p.m., being the time set for the Joint
Public Hearing on the proposed sale of land as provided
in the:Disposition and Development Agreement with Forest
City Dillon, Inc., the Mayor declared the Hearing open.
The City Clerk read affidavit of proof of publication
of Notice of Hearing published in the San Gabriel Valley
Tribune on May 17, 1979 and affidavit of proof of publi-
cation of Notice of Hearing published in the Azusa Herald
on May 24, 1979
The Documents under consideration were as follows:

2. Initial Study (Environmental Information)
3. Summary Report on sale of real property pursuant to
a proposed disposition and development agreement
between the Redevelopment Agency of the City and
Forest City Dillon, Inc.

Mayor Solem displayed plaque received from Azusa High
School in appreciation of all the help given by the City.
Council adjourned to Executive Session at 11:21 p.m.
Council reconvened at 11:40 p.m.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses
and unanimously carried to allow full-time students from
Citrus College to participate in the Miss Azusa Pageant,
further that Miss Azusa contest be set for week prior to
Golden Days to kick off the Golden Days celebration.
Mayor requested that Director of Public Works investigate
conditions of the Santa Fe Railroad tracks at Dalton and
Soldano and report back to Council.
Councilman Moses extended an invitation to all members
of the Council to attend a Flag Day Ceremony, to be held
at the Canyon City Ghost Town on Sunday, June 10th, 1979
at 11:00 a.m.

and unanimously carried to adjourn meeting to June 6, 1979.
