The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and place.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the
salute to the flag.
Invocation was given by Monsignor Robert J. Stein, of the
St. Frances of Rome Church.

There being no additions or corrections, Minutes of the
July 2, 1979 regular meeting stand approved as written.
Councilman Decker presented a plaque to John Jurkovich
for his outstanding service to the City of Azusa, as a
Business License Inspector.
Councilman Moses presented a plaque to Stephen Archibald
for his outstanding service to the City as a Reserve Police
Officer.
Director of Community Services introduced to City Council
Mr. Peter Selak, Jr., who is replacing Jesse Duff as
Recreation Superintendent.
Joe Torres introduced Sister City Youth Exchange
udents from Zacatecas and their chaperone, Mrs. Margarita
Alonso, to City Council, and at the same time, they each
received a gift from the City Council. Mrs. Alonso presented
a gift to the Mayor which will be displayed at City Hall.
Council adjourned to Redevelopment Agency at 7:55 p.m.
CRA reconvened as City Council at 8:14 p.m.
Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to delete the following passage
from proposed resolution regarding signalized intersections:
"(ggggg) Vernon Avenue Southbound and Foothill
Boulevard, both directions."
Councilman Decker offered the resolution entitled:

and unanimously carried by roll call to approve Agreement
with Crocker Bank for residential rehabilitation loans.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
and unanimously carried that Staff submit report to
Council regarding costs for administration of the loan
program by Bill Bond & Associates to be compared with
ommunity Rehabilitation Service, and further that an
nalysis of existing services being performed by Bill
ond, in the 312 loan program be included.

and carried by roll call that Director of Public Works
be authorized to proceed with necessary steps for
proposed realignment of Azusa San Gabriel Canyon Road
to San Gabriel Canyon Road; further that a survey of
