The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in Call to Order the salute to the flag. Invocation was given by Reverend Robert Flagg of the Invocation First Presbyterian Church. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Roll Call Moses, Solem Also Present: City Attorney Newton, City Administrator Dangleis, City Department Heads, City Clerk Solis There being no additions or corrections, the Minutes Appvl.Min. of the February 19, 1980 regular meeting stand approved 2/19/80 mtg. as written. Mayor Solem presented a Proclamation, which the City Proclamation Administrator read in full, to Girl Scouts in audience, Girl Scout honoring Girl Scout Week from March 9th through the 15th, Week 1980. Wm.Dolan Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses City Clerk read affidavit of proof of publication of and unanimously carried to deny claim of Catherine Cath.Whitney Notice of said Hearing published in the Azusa Herald on on February 1, 1980 February 21, 1980 and affidavit of proof of posting of said property on February 22, 1980. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Cruz and unanimously carried to table Public Hearing to end of meeting, giving further time for petitioner to appear. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker De Molay Week and unanimously carried to approve the Paul Revere appvl.to hang Chapter Order of De Molay to hang banner announcing banner De Molay Week from March 16th to the 23rd, 1980 and that Proclamation be prepared in their honor. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried to deny claim of Bruce Drake for alleged broken vehicle door, occurring on January 9, 1980. Councilman Fry offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE GRANT DEED. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses that resolution be adopted. Notice was given that Planning Commission by Resolution No. 1636 conditionally approved a variance to allow a single car -garage instead of the required two -car garage on the property located at 326 S. Enid Avenue (Variance Case No. V-663 Robert T. Anderson). No action taken by Council. Notice was given that Planning Commission by Resolution No. 1637 conditionally approved a variance to allow construction on the property line instead of setting back the required 15' from a residential zone on the property located at 495 S. Citrus Ave. (Variance Case No. V-664 - George Sharou). No action taken by Council. Scott and Associates to provide construction engineering services for the Foothill Boulevard project, to be compensated in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry, and unanimously carried to approve Final Parcel Map No. 12981 and authorize its recordation. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried that the Santa Fe route of the Union Pacific commuter line to Los Angeles be strongly supported by the City of Azusa. Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried to accept resignation of Mrs. Arlene Bryant, Account Clerk, effective February 26, 1980. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried by roll call to approve the urchase of 6001 of 4-0 copper wire, in the amount of 6,296.40 and 16,000' of 2-0 copper wire in the amount of $16,448.00 from Anaconda Corporation and 30,000' of 15KV copper wire in the amount of $33,770.10 from Cypress Rume. City Hall Councilman Moses apprised Council and members of the audience that all were invited to proceedings and that State Senator H. L.
