Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order salute to the flag. Invocation was given by Monsignor Stein of the Saint Invocation Frances of Rome Church. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Moses, Roll Call Solem Absent at Roll Call: Councilmen: Cruz Cruz Absent Also Present: City Attorney Newton, City Administrator Dangleis, City Department Heads, City Clerk Solis Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses Cruz excused and unanimously carried to excuse Councilman Cruz from meeting. There being no additions or corrections, the Minutes of Appvl.Min. the March 17th, 1980, regular,meeting stand approved as 3/17/80 written. Council adjourned to Community Redevelopment Agency at Adj,to CRA 7:40 p.m. CRA reconvened as City Council at 7:50 P.m. Reconvened The hour of 7:30 p.m, being the time set for Public Heartig Pub.Hrg.re: on appeal of certain condition set forth in Conditional CUP -C-229 Use Permit, Case No. C-229, Southern California -Arizona So.Ca-Ariz. ' Conference of the Free Methodist Church, appealed by the Conf. Windsor Financial Corporation, the Mayor declared the Hearing open. City Clerk read affidavit of proof of publication of Res.#6881 re: Notice of said Hearing published in the Azusa Herald on filing appl. March 20, 1980, and affidavit of proof of posting said for Fed.Fin. property on March 21, 1980. Assistance Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried to refer appeal to Planning Commission as original request was modified in appeal. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker Ref'd to P.C. and unanimously carried to continue Public Hearing, (Continued) pending report from Planning Commission. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses Bar-Sar,Inc. and unanimously carried that City Administrator meet sewer probs. with owners of Bar Sar, Inc., and go over sequence of events with regard to installation of sewer at 1020 W. Foothill Blvd,, and to see ifssituation can be resolved. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Fry Carefree Az. ' and unanimously carried to allow one month's time for Condo, water report from Director of Public Works re: de-gassifica- probs. tion of water through aeration, in the hopes that this method could alleviate problems at the Carefree Azusa Condominium Association property.
