CIVIC AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY, MAY 19, 1980 7:30 p.m.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and place-.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the
salute to the flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Jim Lafolette of the
Foursquare Gospel Church.

ADDING CHAPTER 19.63 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE AND
AMENDING SECTIONS 19.40.051 OF SAID CODE, REGULATING
AND CONTROLLING ADULT BUSINESSES.
Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried by roll call to waive further
reading.

Code relating to condominiums and condominium conversions, Conversions

AMENDING ARTICLE 19 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING
CHAPTER 19.61 REGULATING AND CONTROLLING CONDOMINIUM
CONVERSIONS.
Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried by roll call to waive further
reading.
Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker Appvl.CUP-
that approval for Conditional Use Permit, for a condo- 225
minium conversion of apartments located at 1130 E. R.A. Lewis
Alosta Ave. be approved and that items offered by
developer be accepted with regard to this condominium
conversion and that City Attorney prepare necessary
resolution carried by the following vote of the Council:

The Continued Public Hearing regarding appeal of a Cont.Pub.Hrg.
certain condition set forth in Conditional Use Permit, C-229 Windsor
Case No. C-229 Southern California -Arizona Conference Financial Corp.
of the Free Methodist Church as appealed by Windsor
Financial Corporation, the .4ayor declared the Hearing (Denied)
re -opened.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses
and unanimously carried to accept letter of withdrawal
for Conditional Use Permit request from Windsor Financial
Corporation, and to deny conditional use permit.

regarding students loitering at Azusa High School by withdrawn
Mrs. Doris Hannaford, was withdrawn by Mrs. Hannaford.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry Rpt.on
and unanimously carried that Director of Public Works Boy Scout
inspect the Boy Scout Hall, 1300 block N. San Gabriel Hall
Avenue, listing items in need of repair with possible
costs for same, and report to Council.

and unanimously carried to approve agreement with Azusa
Valley Water Company for lease of 2,000 feet of water
rights.
Councilman Cruz requested that copies of financial state-
ments from the San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District
be submitted to Council as received by Staff.
Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Fry
and unanimously carried to approve appointment of Reserve
Police Officer Jeffrey Maxon effective May 20, 1980.
Moved by Councilman Pry, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried that new city employees attend
first council meeting coinciding with their appointment
to be introduced to City Council.
