The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and place.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in
the salute to the Flag.

City Administrator advised that sealed bids were opened Bids -Surplus

He also apprised Council that notice of same was duly
published in the Azusa Herald. One bid was received, as

Notice was given by the Director of Community Services that Fee for rental
the Park and Recreation Commission updated the Santa suit of "Santa"
use policy for community groups from $5.00 to $10.00; i.e., suit $10.00
$25.00 deposit with $10.00 retention fee. No action taken
by Council.
City Administrator apprised Council that Annual Christmas
Tree Lighting Ceremony would take place at City Hall
Courtyard, Monday, December 1, 1980, 6:30 p.m., prior to
regular Council meeting.
Mayor Solem advised Director of Community Services that
the V.F.W. was interested in sponsoring a Christmas party
for Senior Citizens and that Senior Citizen Project
Director should contact that organization.
Councilman Decker offered a resolution authorizing payment
of warrants by the City which the City Clerk read in full.

ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING THE
FUNDS OUT OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID.
Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry
that Resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted
by the following vote of the Council:

Councilman Cruz requested that the Fire Department survey
areas in Azusa, especially the hillsides, for possible
weed abatement in order to prevent fire hazards.
Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Mayor Solem that
custodial fees of $15.00 per hour for auditorium and
conference room useage.be waived.for all City non-profit,
charitable organizations (excluding churches) failed by
the following vote of the Council:
