Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order salute to the Flag. Invocation was given by Reverend James Herring of the Invocation Assembly of God Church. ' Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Roll Call Moses, Solem Also Present: City Attorney Newton, City Administrator Dangleis, Finance Officer Cooney, Acting Chief of Police Lara, Fire Chief Little- field,Superintendent of Light & Power Gerharz, Personnel Clerk Filer, Assistant City Librarian Vandale, Street Superin- tendent Alva, Planning Director Fitzsimmons, City Clerk Solis There being no additions or corrections, the Minutes of Appvl.Min..of the April 20, 1981 regular meeting stand approved as 4/20/81 mtg. written. Councilman Decker presented Resolution/Plaque which the Res/Plaque to City Administrator read in full, to Mr. Greg Gutierez G.Gutierez for his years of service to the City. Mayor Solem presented Resolution/Plaque, which the City Res/Plaque to Administrator read in full, to Mr. Cruz Nunez for his C. Nunez years of service to the City. Councilman Fry presented Proclamation, which the City Proc.Correct 'Administrator read in full, to Doctor Billie Pate, Posture Month proclaiming the month of May as "Correct Posture Month". City Administrator introduced new employee, Mr. Lawrence Intro.of new Kobet, Jr., Parks Maintenance Worker I, to City Council. empl.L.Kobet,Jr. City Council adjourned to Community Redevelopment Adj.to CRA Agency at 7:46 p.m. CRA reconvened as City Council at 7:50 p.m. Reconvened Mr. Walt Garrison, Chief Engineer, Los Angeles County W.Garrison Sanitation District addressed Council regarding the addsd.Cncl. proposed sanitary sewer service fee. No action taken re:Sanit.Fee by Council. Councilman Decker offered a resolution entitled: Res.#6993 re: PAC A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, Comm.fr. APPROVING A REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE Amend. #2 RELATIVE TO AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE AZUSA CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses that resolution be adopted. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Cruz and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Cruz that resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Moses, Solem NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None Petition was received from the residents of Canyon Crest Apartments alleging unfair rubbish fees of $3.50 per unit charged by City, as their rental agreement allegedly states that trash fees are included in their month to month tenacy. The matter was referred to City Adminis- trator for clarification and City's position in this matter by a consensus of Council. Street, to Aerojet Avenue as well as the renaming of to P1ng.Comm. Miller Street to Planning Commission for study. Councilman Moses offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HONORING THE AMERICAN RED CROSS ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF 'ITS FOUNDING. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Cruz and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Cruz that resolution be adopted. Councilman Moses dissenting. Councilman Cruz dissenting.
