Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Moses, Roll Call Solem 'Absent at Roll Call: Councilmen: Cruz Cncl.Cruz absent Also Present: City Administrator Dangleis, Finance Office Cooney, Director of Community Services Guarrera, Director of Public Works Wells, Superintendent of Light and Power Gerharz, City Clerk Solis Councilman Fry offered a resolution entitled: Res -#7004 re: Dev.alternate A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, forms of energy CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING THE DEVELOPMENT & conservation OF ALTERNATIVE FORMS OF ENERGY AND CONTINUED CONSERVA- TION OF ENERGY RESOURCES AND THE LICENSING OF THE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker that resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Decker, Fry, Solem COUNCII24EN: Moses 'NOES: ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Cruz Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry Cncl.Moses and unanimously carried to excuse Councilman Moses from excused the meeting. Councilman Moses was excused at 7:03 p.m. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry Parks De t._ and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #5400, Ace-ff!)400 Parks Department and Budget Account #5500, Recreation Recreation Dept. Department, as recommended by City Administrator. Acc Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry Water P.W. and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #6000, Ac . Public Works - Water as recommended by the City Adminis- trator. Councilman Moses returned to meeting at 8:35 p.m. Moses returned Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses Accts. #7500 and unanimously carried to approve Budget Accounts as thru #8500 listed below, per City Administrator's recommendation: Budget Account #7500, Public Works -Engineering Budget Account #7600, Public Works -Streets Budget Account #77001 Public Works -Buildings ' Budget Account #7600, Public Works -Parking Facilities Budget Account #7900, Public Works -San. Collection Budget Account #8000, Public Works -Street Lights Budget Account #8100, Traffic Signals Budget Account #82003 Public Works -Street Construction County to City Budget Account #8300, Public Works -Street Construction Gas Tax Budget Account #8400, Building Regulations Budget Account #8500, Gate Maintenance Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Fry Light Derpt� and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #7000, Acct. 9 1 Light Department as recommended by the City Administrator. CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 1981 Page 2 It was consensus of Council that Staff prepare report with regard to possible revenues that could be generated from rock quarries and the dump; researching over-all income of these companies; amending the amount of taxes that the City could legally impose on them in order that a ballot measure could be prepared by the City Attorney for this proposed amendment. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried to adjourn meeting to June 8, 1981, 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room.
