Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Moses, Solem Absent at Roll Call: Councilmen: Cruz Also Present: City Administrator Dangleis, Finance Office Cooney, Director of Community Services Guarrera, Director of Public Works Wells, Superintendent of Light and Power Gerharz, City Clerk Solis Councilman Fry offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALTERNATIVE FORMS OF ENERGY AND CONTINUED CONSERVA- TION OF ENERGY RESOURCES AND THE LICENSING OF THE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker that resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Decker, Fry, Solem NOES: COUNCILMEN: Moses ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Cruz Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried to excuse Councilman Moses from the meeting. Councilman Moses was excused at 7:03 p.m. Call to Order Roll Call Cncl.Cruz absent Res.#7004 re: Dev.alternate forms of energy & conservation Cncl.Moses excused Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry Parks De t. and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #5400, ACC Parks Department and Budget Account #5500, Recreation Recreation Dept. Department, as recommended by City Administrator.cA cz. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry Water P.W. and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #6000, ACCI. fOUUU Public Works - Water as recommended by the City Adminis- trator. Councilman Moses returned to meeting at 8:35 p.m. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried to approve Budget Accounts as listed below, per City Administrator's recommendation: Budget Account #7500, Budget Account #76000 Budget Account #72Z00, Budget Account #7100, Budget Account #79003 Budget Account #8000, Budget Account #8100, Budget Account #82002 Budget Account #8300, Budget Account#8400, Budget Account #8500, Public Works -Engineering Public Works -Streets Public Works -Buildings Public Works -Parking Facilities Public Works -San. Collection Public Works -Street Lights Traffic Signals Public Works -Street Construction County to City Public Works -Street Construction Gas Tax Building Regulations Gate Maintenance Moses returned Accts. #7500 thru #8500 Moved by Councilman Moses, seconded by Councilman Fry Light De t. and unanimously carried to approve Budget Account #7000, XER. Light Department as recommended by the City Administrator. CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 1981 Page 2 It was consensus of Council that Staff prepare report with regard to possible revenues that could be generated from rock quarries and the dump; researching over-all income of these companies; amending the amount of taxes that the City could legally impose on them in order that a ballot measure could be prepared by the City Attorney for this proposed amendment. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried to adjourn meeting to June 8, 1981s 6:30 P.M. in the City Hall Conference Room.
