Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry,,Cruz, Roll Call Moses, Solem Also Present: City Administrator Dangleis, Finance Officer Cooney, City Treasurer Talley, Chief of Police Wood, Chamber of Commerce President Wohler, Chamber of Commerce Office Manager Mendoza and -City Clerk Solis Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Moses and Appvl attndee unanimously carried to approve the attendance of City Cncl, Dept.Hds. Council members and spouses, Department Heads and spouses & Spouses at at the Chamber of Commerce Installation Dinner, at Chmbr Inst. Monrovia Nursery, July 110 1981. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses Re6ign/Retrmnt and unanimously carried to accept the resignation for I. Gilbertson purposes of retirement, with regrets of Irene Gilbertson, Asst.Dir.Civ. Assistant Director of Civil Defense, effective August Def. 1, 1981; further that a plaque be prepared for presenta- tion at a later date. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker Resign.M. and unanimously carried to accept resignation of Miss Smith,Comm. Disp/Res.PO Marcia Smith, Communications Dispatcher/Reserve Police Officer, effective Jnly 1, 1981. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker to bidding for Appvl.purch. transformer and unanimously carried waive procedures of '$5571.36,0 & waive bidng the purchase of one transformer in the amount finding it impradticable, useless and uneconomical in this procedures instance to follow such procedures and that public welfare would be promoted by dispensing with same. Moved by Councilman Cruz that report from City Administrator Report -Dir. Comm.Dev./Ping with regard to job specifications for the position of Director of Community Development/Planning be received and filed. Motion died for the lack of a second. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried by'roll call that specifications for the position of Director of Community Development/ Planning, be referred to the Personnel Board, and that City Administrator prepare report as to how this position will fit in City's organizational chart. Councilman Fry offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEE IS INCAPACITATED FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES AND SHOULD 'BE RETIRED FOR DISABILITY. (Section 21024 Government Code) Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried to waive further reading.
