Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order salute to the flag. Invocation was given by Reverend Frank Herber of the Invocation Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cru2., Roll Call Moses, Solem Also Present: City Attorney Newton, City Administrator Dangleis, Finance Officer Cooney, Chief of Police Wood, Fire Chief Littlefield, Personnel Clerk Filer, Assistant City Librarian Vandale, Superintendent of Light and Power Gerharz, Director of Community Services Guarrera, Director of Public Works Wells, Deputy City Clerk Lara There being no additions or corrections, the Minutes of Appvl.Min.of the regular meeting of November 2 1981 and the adjourned 11/2/81 & regular meeting of November 9, 19$1, stand approved as 11/9/81 mtgs. written. City Administrator introduced new employee Norman "Dutch" Intro.of Reininger, Assistant Director of Civil Defense/Safety Norman Analyst, to Council, and welcomed him to the City. Reininger Chief Wood introduced police personnel modeling new New police Police Department uniforms to Council and audience and uniforms advised that the new uniform would be in effect as of modeled by ' December 1, 1981. Chief Wood also introduced new employees PD personnel Ron Compton, Ronald Munson and Wayne Ketaily to Council. & intro.of the Director of Public Works to abate substandard structure; new Pol.Off. City Council adjourned to Community Redevelopment Agency Adj.to CRA at 7:40 p.m. City Council reconvened at 7:43 P.M. Reconvened The hour of 7:30 p.m. being the time set for Continued Cont.Pub.Hrg. Public Hearing on substandard structure at 701 N. Azusa substndrd. Avenue (Al and Miriam Reinhardt), the Mayor declared the bldg.@701 N. Hearing reopened. Azusa Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Moses and unanimously carried to close the Public Hearing. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried to close the Hearing. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Fry and unanimously carried by roll call that building at 635 N. Azusa Avenue be declared substandard and that Director of Public Works be ordered to abate said struc- ture; however,,that enforcement of said order be held in abeyance pending the completion of said construction on building within six months. Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried by roll call that building at 701 N. Azusa Avenue be declared substandard and order the Director of Public Works to abate substandard structure; however that enforcement of that order be held in abey- ance pending the timely completion of the rehabilitation construction within six months after the issuance of the building permit. City Administrator also advised Council of invitation Dedication to the dedication of the basketball courts at Memorial Mem'1 Park Park, Thursday, December 3, 1981, at 4:30 p.m. basketball crts. It was consensus of Council that at the Board Meeting ESGV Consrt'm of the East San Gabriel Valley Consortium, the Senior Sr.Cit.Trans. Citizen Transportation matter would be discussed as many complaints have been received with regard to the service. A representative from the City would be in attendance at said meeting. It was consensus of Council that City Administrator Fire Personnel investigate status of Fire personnel unable to meet Report .Los Angeles County qualifications, in the event a merger was accomplished. Councilman Decker offered a resolution authorizing payment Res. #7054 of warrants by the City, which the Deputy City Clerk read Warrants in full.
