CIVIC AUDITORIUM AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY, MARCH 15, 1982 7:30 p.m.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and place.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the
salute to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Gary Silvestri of the
United Pentecostal Church.
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz,
Moses, Solem
Also Present: City Attorney Newton, City Administrator
Dangleis, Finance Officer Cooney, Chief
of Police Wood, Fire Chief Littlefield,
Assistant City Librarian Vandale, Direc-

There being no additions or corrections, the Minutes of
the March 1, 1982 regular meeting stand approved as
written.
City Council adjourned to Community Redevelopment Agency
at 7:35 p.m.
City Council reconvened at 7:53 p.m.

Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and carried by roll call to purchase ad in the Azusa
Herald promoting the City of Azusa, at a cost of
$290.00 to the City, contingent upon the Chamber of
Commerce paying a like amount for said ad. Councilman
Moses dissenting.
Councilman Moses requested information regarding annual
' expenditure on promotional ads of this nature published
in the Azusa Herald.
Moved by Councilman Fry, seconded by Councilman Cruz
and unanimously carried to waive the Azusa Municipal
Code requirement regarding permanent meeting place, for
the Boy Scout Troop 418, to allow them to obtain a fire-
works permit.

specification sheet for the classification of Planning
Assistant.

job specification sheets currently requiring a high school
,°diploma or GED as minimum qualifications to include
acceptance of the Certificate of Proficiency as meeting
the high school graduation requirements, in accordance
with Legislative Mandate.

reduced landscaping requirement of 13.2% instead of the
