Mayor Solem called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order salute to the Flag. Invocation was given by Reverend Gary Silvestri of the Invocation United Pentecostal Church. Councilman Moses offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CALIFORNIA,,AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF CIVIL DEFENSE AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CIVIL DEFENSE/SAFETY ANALYST TO ACQUIRE FEDERAL SURPLUS PROPERTY FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE AGENCY FOR SURPLUS PROPERTY. It was consensus of Council that City Administrator and Chief of Police investigate alleged policy of Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlor wherein tokens are purchased for use in game machines and unused tokens are not refunded.
