Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute to the Flag. Invocation was given by Father Coronel of the St. Frances of Rome Church. ' Present at Roll Call: Council Members: Decker, Hart, Latta, Moses Also Present: City Attorney Newton, City Administrator Dangleis, Finance Officer Cooney, Chief of Police Wood, Community Development/ Planning Director Cunningham, Director of,Public Works Wells, Personnel Clerk Filer, Acting Superintendent of Light & Power Hastings, Director of Community Services Guarrera, Fire Chief Littlefield, City Clerk Solis Moved by Councilman Decker, -seconded by Councilman Latta and unanimously carried that Minutes of May 17.,-1982., reflect an abstention by Mayor Moses on Resolution No. 7124. The Minutes were then approved as amended. Moved by Councilwoman Hart that Councilman Decker be nominated;as Mayor Pro -Tem, died for the lack of a second. Moved by Mayor Moses that Councilman Latta be nominated as Mayor Pro -tem, died for the lack of a second. 'Councilman Decker offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING RULES OF ORDER FOR THE CONDUCT OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS. I Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Latta and unanimously carried to waive further reading. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Latta that resolution be adopted. Resolution passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Decker, Hart, Latta, Moses NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None City Council adjourned to Community Redevelopment Agency at 7:53 p.m. City Council reconvened at 7:53 p.m. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilwoman Hart and unanimously carried by roll call that claim vs city 'by State of California (National Guard Armory) for alleged damages to flag pole and roof when utility pole fell on said building, occurring April 25, 1982, be honored; and that General Telephone Company has agreed to pay half of the damages inasmuch as the pole in question is a joint pole owned by them and the city. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilwoman Hart and carried by roll call that residential refuse increase of 8%. as provided by the consumer price index in the Agreement be approved and that City Attorney prepare the necessary resolution; further, that City Administrator and City Attorney be directed to meet with representatives of Western Disposal to review Franchise Agreement regard- ing concerns that they have.
