CITY OF AZUSA
MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 7, 1982 - 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at
the Civic Auditorium at the above time and date.
Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order
salute to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Raul Castro of the Invocation
Ebenezer Spanish Assembly Church.

7. The contract for Project No. 636, annual minor street
improvement program, war awarded to American Construc-
tion Company, lowest bidder, in the amount of
$135,520.00. Seven bids were received and opened in
the City Clerk's Office, on August 26, 1982, copies
of quotes are on file. The Mayor and City Clerk were
authorized to execute the contract and the City Clerk
directed to return bidders' guarantees to the unsuc-
cessful bidders.
8. The contract for Project No. 638, Annual Weed Abate-
ment Program, was awarded to Alarcon and Sons, low
bidder, in the amount of $65,532.00. Two bids were
received and opened in the City Clerk's Office on
August 26, 1982, copies of quotes on fil.e. The Mayor
and City Clerk were authorized to execute the contract
and the City Clerk directed to return bidder's guaran-
tee to the unsuccessful bidder,

on record as stating that the Council has not yet deter-
mined whether or not police dogs are to be approved and
therefore, did want the citizenry to be aware that their
donations may not be accepted for that purpose.
