MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
MARCH 21;:i983' - 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session in the Civic Auditorium at the above time and
date.
' Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order
salute to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Larry Payne of the Invocation
United Pentecostal Church.

CEREMONIAL
Councilwoman Hart presented a Resolution, which the City Res. to Ben
'Administrator read in full, to Mr.'Ben Paroulek for his Paroulek
years of service to the City.
Councilman Cruz presented a plaque to Azusa High School Plaque to
Girls J.V. Basketball team, commending them as League Azusa High
Champions for two consecutive years. JV Basket -

The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of Items 1 through 26 Consent
was approved on motion of Councilman Latta, seconded by Calendar Appvd.
Councilwoman Hart, and unanimously carried by roll call (#22 & 26
vote, with the exception of Item Numbers 22 and 26 Special Call)

Johnny's Auto Body for sale of new and used auto parts
at 812 N. Azusa Avenue, be referred to the Planning
Commission in light of new information received.

that the Municipal Code be amended to permit senior
citizens two garage/lawn sales per monthf further, that
staff also report on availability of a location for

'The tenants from the Donna Beth apartments were advised
to seek advice/aid from various city departments with
regard to their disgraceful living -conditions.
Investigation of chemical spillage at Norac was referred
to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
City Attorney was directed to investigate delay of
settling the Ochoa claim with R. L. Kautz, insurance
administrator.

orized to procure proposals from Martin and the Redevelop-
ment Team, and from any other persons who may be interested
for the positions of City Administrator, City Attorney and
the Redevelopment Team in connection with the CRA process
and submit them to City Council by April 18th.

investigate problems at smog service center regarding
the passing out of flyers at that location and report to
Council.

nation of Bill Jones from the Personnel Board and:that a
plaque be presented to him,%at,a later date.
