The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session in the Civic Auditorium at the above time and date. Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute to the Flag. Invocation was given by Pastor Raul Castro of the Ebenezer Spanish Assembly of God Church. Councilwoman Hart and unanimously carried by roll call vote, with the exception of Items 10, 15, 21, 22, 27, and 29 which were considered under the SPECIAL CALL por- tion of the Agenda. 1. Notice was given that Planning Commission by Resolu- tion No. 1900 conditionally approved a variance to allow a reduced rear yard setback of 20' instead of the required 25' in order to enclose a front porch on property located at 831 E: 1st St. Case No. V-792, Dale E. It was consensus of Council that presentation of petition by Linda Snakenberg regarding noise control in the vicin- ity of the golf course be referred to staff. Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilwoman Hart and unanimously carried by roll call to deny request of Byron Blanco, Jr., Lanco Development Properties,Ltd., for removal of two newly planted magnolia trees in the north parkway of Gladstone Street at Citrus Plaza. Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Councilman Cruz and carried by roll call that incident between Mr. Rlchard_Widman and Aids Ambulance Service, occurring at Stater Brother°s Market be referred to Staff for investi- gation. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Latta and unanimously carried by roll call that due to the numerous applications received in the Personnel Office for the position of City Administrator, City Attorney and Redevelopment Consultants, the Personnel Officer needs more time to review the applications. Charles Martin and redevelopment team to be kept on for an additional thirty days under the existing terms and con- ditions of their current agreement.
