REGULAR MEETING

The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session in the Civic Auditorium, at the above time and
'date, +
Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order
salute to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Frank Herber of the Invocation
Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints.

Claim vs City by Roberta Santell for alleged injuries
sustained, due to hole in sidewalk, vicinity of 122 E.
Foothill Blvd., occurring March 10, 1983, was denied
and referred to City's Claims Administrator.
Claim vs City by Richard Santell for alleged loss of
consortium due to alleged injuries sustained by his
wife, Roberta Santell, was denied and referred to
City's Claims Administrator.
Harold Linden was authorized to attend the 30th
Annual Training Institute of the California Check
Investigators' Association in Sacramento, May 25-27,
1983.
The resignation of Jeanne Villarreal, Police Clerk,
effective April 19, 1983, was accepted.
City's Workers' Compensation, General and Auto Lia-
bility Insurance contract was awarded to Cal-Surance
Group, low bidder, in the amount of $61,000.00.
Three bids were received and opened in the City
Clerk's Office on April 28, 1983. (Quotes on file
in the Office of the City Clerk).

15. Sergeant Ron Clark was authorized to attend the
Assertive Supervision Course, to be held in San Diego,
June 15-17, 1983.
16. Participation in the County Fair Housing Program at
a cost of $1,784.00 for 9th year Community Develop-
ment Block Grant Program was approved; further,
staff was directed to submit letter to Los Angeles
County selecting the County Fair Housing Program as
as amending the 9th year CDBG application to include
same.
17. Plans and specifications for the reconstruction of
Vincent Avenue from Gladstone Street, southerly to
' City terminus, Project No. 645, was approved and the
City Clerk directed to advertise for bids.

Telephone Company to ascertain if they used the same
