REGULAR MEETING,,

The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session in the Civic Auditorium, at the above time
and date.
'Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the Call to Order
salute to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Director of Community Services Invocation
Joe Guarrera,

The CONSENT CALENDAR odhsisting of Items 1 through 24
was proved"oh motion of Councilman Latta, seconded by
Councilwoman Hart and unanimously carried by roll call
vote, with the'exception of Item 19 which was considered
under the SPECIAL CALL portion of the Agenda.
1. The Minutes of the May 2, 1983 regular meeting were Min. Appvd.
approved as written. 5/2/83 mtg.
2. Informal bids for surplus city vehicles were received Surplus city
and opened in the City Clerk's Office May 5s 1983. vehicles
City Clerk was authorized to sell vehicles to the

3. Request from the Foothill Center Merchants' Associa-
tion to hold a carnival on June 9, 10, 11 and 12,

directed to solicit informal bids for disposal.

tive Management Seminar to be held in San Diego,
June 8-10, 1983.
15. Notice was given that Planning Commission by Resolu-
tion No. 1910 conditionally approved a variance to
allow a reduced side yard setback of 216" instead of
the required 5' and a reduced rear'yard setback of
10' instead of the required 25' in order to bring
subject property up to Code, located at 144 s.

16. Notice was given that Planning Commission by Resolu-
tion No. 1911 conditionally approved a variance to
permit a reduced rear yard setback of 10' instead of
the required 25' in order to add living area to

CITY OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING THE FUNDS OUT
OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID.
24. Request from Utility Director to dispose of surplus
and obsolete material was approved and staff was
directed to solicit informal quotation for its
disposal.
