The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session in the Civic Auditorium, at the above time and date. Mayor Pro -tem Cruz called the meeting to order and led in the salute to the Flag. Invocation was given by Reverend Frank Herber of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Moved by Mayor Pro -Tem, seconded by Councilman Latta and Mayor Excused unanimously carried by roll call to excuse the Mayor from fromi.Meeting the Council Meeting. No action taken by Council at this time. A Public Hearing has been set before Council for the Meeting of July 18, 1983. 20. Notice was given that Plannini; Commission by Resolu- tion No. 1925 conditionally approved a variance to allow a reduced side yard setback of 3' instead of required 5' in order for applicant to have a patio cover connecting the main dwelling and detached two - car garage located at 520 N. It was consensus of Council that Director of Community Report on Services report on costs/feasibility for mini -trams in Mini Trams the City of Azusa with a proposed route recommendation. City Administrator made a progress report'on generating Generating plants using methane gas and combustion methods for Plant using producing energy. It was consensus of Council that more Methane Gas information be secured for report to Council. Reconvened Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Latta Appv.MOUs for and unanimously carried by roll call to approve the ACEA & APRA Memoranda of Understanding for the Azusa City Employees Association and the Azusa Police Relief Association. Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Councilwoman Hart Dept. Heads and unanimously carried by roll call to approve a 5% wage 5% Increase increase for Department Heads, deleting positions of City Administrator (contract), City Attorney (contract) and modifying the position of Finance Officer, now on con- tract, by eliminating position of Assistant City Admin- istrator and reducing the salary to $3500. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Latta Appv Part-time and unanimously carried by roll call to adopt the part Increases & time policy as recommended by Personnel Officer, reducing Step Change the step increments from five to four.
