Lloyd Wood as new Assistant City Administrator at a salary of L. Wood $500.00 a month. Councilman Latta offered a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY IDENTIFIED AS "EASTERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT 85" TO THE CITY OF AZUSA, PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977. Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Councilwoman Hart that resolution be adopted. It was consensus of Council that Resolution approving an Cable T.V. extension of the term of Cable Television franchise, be Franchise referred to City Administrator/City Attorney for further inves- (pulled) tigation. Moved by Councilwoman Hart, seconded by Councilman Latta, and Improv.Arrow unanimously carried by roll call to pull item "improvement of Hwy. & Glad - Arrow Highway and Gladstone St." and refer to Director of Stone St. Public Works for renegotiation with Los Angeles County. OTHER BUSINESS/CITY COUNCIL ved by Councilwoman Hart, seconded by Councilman Cruz and Ltr. to L.A. animously carried by roll call to send letter to Los Angeles Cnty.Bd. of unty Board of Supervisors to register City's opposition to Supervisors stallation of,drag strip race track in area of Irwindale Ave. and San Gabriel`River, south of Foothill Blvd. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION It was consensus of Council to request Chief of Police to have Azusa Greens Police cars patrol and monitor area around Azusa Greens Golf Golf Course Course in order to investigate the noise in that area, and Noise Control report back to Council with their findings. Moved by Councilwoman Hart, seconded by Councilman Latta and Tent Church unanimously carried by roll call to approve action of City Clerk to extend additional time for Open Air Evangelistic Service to Saturday, August 13, 1983. To be held by Ebenezer Spanish Assembly of God Church. It was consensus of Council to refer to Staff/City Attorney the matter concerning property located at 248 Dixon, Azusa re: Draining of swimming pool.
