SUBJECT: APPROVE GRANT OF EASEMENT AND AUTHORIZE THE RECORD THEREOF
FOR THE ELECTRIC FACILITIES INSTALLED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY FROM
PROPERTY OWNER FOR SITE ADDRESS 1728 RANCH ROAD, AZUSA, CA 91702
BACKGROUND:
The property owner at address 1728 Ranch Road is granting an electric utility easement to Azusa Light
& Water (βALWβ) for the electric facilities, such as conduits and pull-boxes, installed on his/her
property for utility purposes. This grant of easement provides ALW ingress and egress to operate and
maintain said electric facilities. Staff is seeking Utility Board approval to accept such grant of easement
and authorize the City Clerk to file the grant of easement with the County.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the Utility Board take the following actions:
1)Certificate of Acceptance of Grant of Permanent Easement for Electric utility purposes from
property owner for site address 1728 Ranch Road in the City of Azusa; and
2) Adopt Resolution No. 2025-UB-05; and
3)Authorize the City Clerk to file said easement documents with the Office of the Los Angeles
County Recorder.
ANALYSIS:
The property owner at 1728 Ranch Road is granting an easement to ALW for electric facilities installed
on his/her property. This easement allows ALW to extend an underground electric line to serve the
property. The electric easement encompasses underground conduits, cables, and pull-box as depicted in
Exhibits A and B of the attached easement document.

FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost to ALW for accepting this Grant of Permanent Easement.
