The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session in the Civic Auditorium at the above time and date. ° Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in Call to Order the salute to the Flag. Invocation was given by Reverend James Herring of the Invocation Assembly of God Church. Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Mayor Moses and unanimously carried by roll call to approve recommendations of staff with regard to use of unexpended funds; further authorizing staff to publish proposed uses of CDBG funds and authorize the submittal of all program documents to the County of Los Angeles Community Development Commission. Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Councilman Camarena Amend to Ind unanimously carried by roll call to approve amendment Handicapped o the CDBG handicapped ramp project by adding median strip Ramp Project n Azusa Avenue north of First Street; further authorizing submittal of the required forms to process the revised project and allocate the additional $15,000.00 from the City's unexpended reserve. It was consensus of Council that staff investigate late denial for business license at premises located at 710 S. Azusa Ave., P. & P. Auto Repair and advise Mr. Para of cause/reason for delay in advising him. CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED TO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 9:00 P.M. CITY COUNCIL RECONVENED AT 10:00 P.M. The Mayor advised the public that the Council took unanimous action to appoint Peter Thorson as City Attorney for the City of Azusa, and Lloyd Wood as City Administrator for the City of Azusa. OTHER BUSINESS/CITY COUNCIL Director of Community Services reported on the Summer Camp Program and the Summer Concert Program. It was consensus of Council that City Administrator investigate amount of revenues generated from citations by our two present motorcycle officers; further reporting on cost breakdown for one additional police officer and motorcycle. Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Councilman Cook and unanimously carried by roll call that in the future, all Councilmembers place their items on the Agenda, rather than bringing them up at the meeting, thus affording staff time to report on these items.
