As a unit, such as, Dr. Brown sent these flowers, I'd like then to represent something good for our city, that we can work together as human beings and do the right thing amongst each other." Councilman Cruz made the following statement: "I would like to thank the voters of Azusa for their vote of confidence. My slogan in the past election was for unity and progress. The unity: the Council has to unite, City Government has to unite, our citizens of Azusa, • the business community, commercial people, they all have to unite, in order for this City to progress and always work together. We can all progress, the City can progress, if everybody makes the effort. The City can't do it all for the entire City. The residents have to come in and give us a hand, commercial people, businesses, that's the only way we can beautify and better our community. My next four years, I'll be looking for progress, and the only way it will come about, will be withyour cooperation. Thank you." Councilman Cook made the following statement: "I would like to thank the voters of Azusa for electing me to this office. I'm looking forward to serving you 'during the next four years.
