MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
MAY 7, 1984 - 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and date in the Civic
Auditorium.
Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in Call to Order
the salute to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Reverend Frank Herber of the Invocation
Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

was approved on motion of Councilman Camarena, seconded Appvd. Items
by Councilman Cook and unanimously carried by roll call 5,14,15,19,21,
vote, with the exception of Items 5, 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, & 23 Special
22, and 23, which were considered under the SPECIAL Call
CALL portion of the Agenda.

18. Six bids were received and opened in the City
Clerk's Office on May 1, 1984, for Project No.
659, Material, labor and equipment for removal
of old roof and construction of complete new
roof at Reservoir No. 2. The contract was awarded
to Nelson Roof & Painting, Inc., low bidder.
The Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to execute
' the contract. City Clerk was directed to return
unsuccessful bidders' guarantees.

It was consensus of Council that staff renegotiate Lease of City
lease of city owned land located south of Paramount Owned Land by
Avenue and west of Azusa Avenue with Reverend Nelson Foursquare
of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Gospel Church

Moses and unanimously carried by roll call to approve Circuit TV
lease agreement between City and McNeill Systems Surveillance
for installation of closed circuit TV surveillance system
at the Police Department and authorization was given
for the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement.
Moved by Councilman Camarena that proposed Council
Policies, Submitting Agenda Items and Public Partici-
pation at City Council meetings be approved with the
deletion of Item III of Submitting Agenda Items,
relating to walk on items. Motion died for the lack
of a second.
