CITY OF AZUSA
MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OCOTBER 5, 1984 - 4:00 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned
regular session at the above time and date in the City
Hall Conference Room.
Mayor Moses called the meeting to order. Call to order
ROLL CALL Roll Call
PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: CRUZ, COOK, MOSES
ABSENT : COUNCILMEMBERS: CAMARENA, LATTA
ALSO PRESENT
City Attorney Thorson, City Administrator/Chief of Police
Wood, Director of Finance Craig, Assistant to the City
Administrator Fuentes, City Clerk Solis.
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD MEMBERS Chamber membrs`
Board Members Vanderhoop, Aguilar, Moore, Bode, Tolley
and Manager Mendoza.
At this time the Mayor led in the salute to the Flag. Flag salute -

COUNCILMAN CAMARENA ENTERED THE MEETING AT 4:10 P.M. Camarena entrd
Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Cook
and unanimously carried by roll call to approve the
appointment of Mrs. Phyllis Vogel to the position of
Intermediate Typist Clerk, effective October 2, 1984.
Councilman Latta absent.
Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Camarena and
unanimously carried by roll call to accept the resignation
of Cultural and Historical Landmark Commission Member Pat
Sperl. Councilman Latta absent.
Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Cook and
unanimously carried by roll call that notice of vacancy
for the Cultural and Historical Landmark Commission be
publicized. Councilman Latta absent.
Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Cook and
unanimously carried by roll call to approve the use of
Trans -Valley Industrial Clinic to provide annual and
biannual physical examinations for safety personnel.
Councilman Latta absent.
General discussion was held with the Board Members of
the Chamber of Commerce regarding relocation of Chamber
offices.
CITY COUNCIL RECESSED AT 5:44 P.M.
CITY COUNCIL RECONVENED AT 5:48 P.M.
Moved by Councilman Cook, seconded by Councilman Camarena
and unanimously carried to adjourn meeting to October 15,
1984, at 5:00 P.M. in the City Administrator's Office
for the purpose of a closed session. Councilman Latta
absent.
