MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 21, 1985 - 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session
at the above time and date in the Civic Auditorium.
'Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute
to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Pastor Elmer Pearson of the Village
Covenant Church.

CEREMONIAL
The Council as a body presented Certificates of Appreciation
to the following V.F.W. Auxiliary ladies:
' Lillian Briscoe, Mary Fletcher, Betty Laing,
Mary C. Linder, Cruz F. Moreno, Shirley Twombly
and Ruth Mills.
Councilman Camarena presented a Certificate of Appreciation
to Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fletcher of the City Pawn Shop for
beautification of their building.
CONSENT CALENDAR
The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of Items 1 through 15 was
approved by motion of Councilman Cruz, seconded by
Councilman Cook and unanimously carried by roll call vote*
with the exception of Items F-7, F-11 and F-13, which were
considered under the SPECIAL CALL portion of the Agenda;
further that Councilman Cruz abstained on Agenda Item'F-15
1. The Minutes of the adjourned and regular meeting of
January 7, 1985, were approved as written.
2. ABC Notice, person to person transfer, for on sale beer
and food, for premises located at 511 N. Azusa Ave.,
La Villa Bar, was received and filed with no objections
from the Chief of Police.
' 3. Application for leave to present late claim - City.of
Azusa vs Off Road Rentals with regard to Susan Little
claim, occurring February 29, 1984, was denied.
4. Claim vs City by Edmund Manuel Zozaya for alleged assault
occurring September 29, 1984, was denied and referred to
City's Claims Administrator.
