CITY OF AZUSA
MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 21, 1985 - 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session
at the above time and date in the Civic Auditorium.
'Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute Call to order
to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Pastor Elmer Pearson of the Village Invocation
Covenant Church.

The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of Items 1 through 15 was Consnt Cal
approved by motion of Councilman Cruz, seconded by appvd-Items
Councilman Cook and unanimously carried by roll call vote* 7-11-13 Spec
with the exception of Items F-7, F-11 and F-13, which were Call -Cruz
considered under the SPECIAL CALL portion of the Agenda; abstain on
further that Councilman Cruz abstained on Agenda Item'F-15. 15

Moved by Councilman Camarena, seconded by Councilman Cook
to waive further reading and adopt. Resolution passed and

Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Cook and Agmt w/U.S.
unanimously carried by roll call that agreement with U.S. Escrow-hsng
Escrow, Inc., for housing rehabilitation loan servicing rehab loan
functions be approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk servicing
be authorized to execute the agreement.

'Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Camarena and Poss amend
carried by roll call* that staff investigate present Ord re:hi-
Ordinance for possible amendment to include the building rise bldgs
of high-rise structures within the City. Councilman Cook
dissenting.
Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Camarena and Study 1st St
unanimously carried by roll call that staff report and to Fthll -Az
study the area from First Street to Foothill Blvd., and to Cerritos
Azusa Avenue to Cerritos Avenue for blighted conditions; poor condt'n
reporting and recommending on streets, sidewalks, parkways,
curbs and fire hydrants all in need of repair.
It was consensus of Council that staff contact the San San Gab. Val
Gabriel Valley Bank and ascertain when a permanent structure Bank stzuctur
will be built at that location.

Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Cook and Latta excuse
unanimously carried by roll call* to excuse Councilman Latta frm mtg
from the meeting.

unanimously carried*to adjourn meeting to 6:00 P.M., Monday, 6PM 2/4/85
February 4, 1985, in the City Hall Conference Room for the
purpose of conducting regular business and the holding of a
closed session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.
