The City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the Cit of Azusa met in a regular study session at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium. Mayor/Chairman Moses called the meeting to order. Call to order ROLL CALL Roll Call PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS/DIRECTORS: CRUZ, COOK, CAMARENA, MOSES ABSENT : COUNCILMEMBERS/DIRECTORS: LATTA ALSO PRESENT City Attorney/General Counsel Thorson, City Administrator/ Executive Director Wood,Finance Director Craig, Community Development Director Cunningham, Director of Community Services Guarrera, Assistant to the City Administrator Fuentes, Consultant Werner, Deputy City Clerk/Deputy Secretary Lara. Moved by Councilman Cook, seconded by Councilman Camarena and unanimously carried by roll call* to award contract for Slauson pool filter replacement to California Pool and Spas, low bidder, in the amount of $27,314.00; further authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the contract and directing the City Clerk to return unsuccessful bidder's guarantee. The irregularity -of no corporate seal was also waived. (Quotes on all bids received are on file in the office of the City Clerk.) Award contract to CA Pool & Spas-Slauson Pool filter AT THE HOUR OF 6:03 P.M. THE CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Reconvened in RECONVENED IN THE CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM, TO AFFORD City Hall Conf. MICHAEL SANCHEZ AND ASSOCIATES TO DISPLAY RENDERINGS OF Room PROPOSED CITY HALL RENOVATION PLANS. " Lenghty discussion was held regarding renovation of City Discussion on Hall complex. Renderings are on display in the City Hall renovation of Conference Room. City Hall COUNCILMAN/DIRECTOR LATTA entered the meeting at 6:30 P.M. It was moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Cook and unanimously carried by roll call to approve the color scheme (blue) and design for the fixed route bus within the City. The bus will be called THE CANYON CITY COACH. .J, It was consensus of the Council that staff be directed to Froceed forward with proposed renovation plans as presented, ith some slight modifications/refinements of areas of concern, such as, band shell, monument and City Seal; said drawings to be presented at a later date. Further that a report on costs and changes involved with respect to a new City Seal be furnished to Council. The City Administrator advised that one of the fixed route buses had been delivered, this date, and was in the City Hall parking lot and that members of Council were invited to inspect same. Latta entrd mtg Appv color scheme & design for fixed route bus Staff directed to proceed w/ plans & costs for renovation Fixed route bus delivered & to be viewed by Cncl - 4`9 Moved by Director'Cook, seconded by Director Camarena and CLOSED SESSION unanimously carried by roll call to recess to a CLOSED (Agency) SESSION pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.9, for the purpose of advising the Executive Director and the Redevelopment Consultant with respect to negotiations for the property or exchange of property; property in question is located north of Foothill Blvd., and generally west of San Gabriel Avenue, and that the parties involved in the transaction are Urban 'Pacific, Inc., and Albert Dukow. TIME OF CLOSED SESSION FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY: 7:00 P.M. Moved by Councilman Cook, seconded by Councilman Camarena Cncl recessed and unanimously carried by roll call to recess the City Council.
