MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
MAY 6, 1985 - 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session
at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium.
'Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute
to the Flag.
Invocation was given by Pastor Hal Moore of the Church of
Christ.

7. RESOLUTION NO. 7699
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA VACATING A WATERLINE EASEMENT
IN A PORTION OF LOT 43 OF SUBDIVISION NO. 2,
AZUSA LAND AND WATER COMPANY.
8. Lease agreement between the City and the Spanish Trails
Girl Scout Council was approved and the Mayor and City
Clerk were authorized to execute the document.
9. Resignation of Police Clerk Elaine Jones, effective May
10, 1985, was accepted.
' 10. The appointment of Diana Silva to the position of
probationary Police Clerk II, effective May 12, 1985,
was approved.
11. The City Treasurer's Financial Statement showing a balance
of $8,484,888.68, as of March 31, 1985, was received
and filed.
12. Plans and specifications for trimming of Live Oak trees
on San Gabriel Avenue were approved and the City Clerk
was directed to advertise for bids.
13. The appointment of Rogelio Chavez to the position of
Parks Maintenance Crew Supervisor, effective May 7, 1985,
was approved.

was approved, and the City Clerk was directed to advertise
for bids.

The Mayor announced that there was an opening in the Utilities Openg in
Commission and that the individual must be a senior citizen Utilities Comm

unanimously carried by roll call* that the Police Department
work closely together with the California Highway Patrol
and present a program to Council wherein all vehicles that
are polluting the air be cited; report to include equipment
needed by the Police Department to properly implement said
program.
Moved by Councilman Latta, seconded by Councilman Camarena
and unanimously carried* to adjourn.
