JOINT CITY COUNCIL AND REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
MINUTES
JUNE 24, 1985 - 6:00 P.M.
The City .Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the
City of Azusa met in adjourned regular session at
the above date and time in the Library Auditorium.
Mayor/Chairman Moses called the meeting to order. Call to order
ROLL CALL Roll Call
PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS/DIRECTORS: CRUZ, COOK,.
CAMARENA, MOSES
ABSENT COUNCILMEMBERS/DIRECTORS: LATTA
ALSO PRESENT Also present
City Administrator/Executive Director Wood, Assistant
to the City Administrator Fuentes, City Clerk/Secretary
Solis.
Moved by Mayor Moses, seconded by Councilman Cook Firewks stand
and unanimously carried by roll call* to approve locat'n change
location change of fireworks stand for Boy Scout Troop Boy Sct Trp 410
No. 410.
Moved by Director Cook, seconded by Director Camarena 30 day exclsv
and carried by roll call* to approve a 30 day exclusive neg.agmt w/
negotiation agreement with Dicker Warmington Properties Dicker Warming -
Company for proposed redevelopment area at Foothill ton Propties Co.
'and San Gabriel; further that in the event a Development
Agreement is presented that after the 30 day period
said company post a good faith bond with the Agency,
to be forfeited to the Agency if development is not
initiated. Director Cruz abstaining.
At this time the Council/Agency interviewed the Interviews w/
following public relations firms: p.r. groups
Braun and Company
Forte Enterprises
Charles Reilly Company
Gardner, Tosh, Syverson
Moved by Mayor/Chairman Moses, seconded by Councilman/ Tent.appvl of
Director Cook and carried by roll call* to tentatively Braun & Co.
approve the firm of Braun and Company for public
relations for the City/Agency; however that further
negotiations be conducted with them, deleting the
brochure and Newsletter and that final consideration
be given at the Budget sessions. Councilman/Director
Cruz dissenting.
'Moved by Councilman/Director Cook, seconded by Adjourn
Councilman/Director Camarena and unanimously carried
to adjourn.
