The City Council of the City of Azusa �met in regular session fter their early session and Closed Session at the above ate and time in the Civic Auditorium. Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the Call to order salute to the Flag. INVOCATION was given by Pastor John Sims of the Prevailing Invocation Word Ministry. The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of Items 1 through 19 appvd was approved by motion of Councilman Cook, seconded by Councilman Camarena and unanimously carried by roll call vote*. 1. The Minutes of the 6:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. meetings Min appvd of September 3, 1985, were approved as written. 2. The resignation of Police Cadet Ron Lavelle, effective Resign.Ron September 20, 1985, was accepted. Lavelle 3. The contract for an air compressor was awarded to Bid award Sullair Sales and Service, low bidder, in the amount Sullair Sales of $10,639.35; the Mayor was authorized to execute (air compresr) the contract and the City Clerk was directed to return unsuccessful bidders' guarantees. Three bids were received and opened in the City Clerk's Office on September 10, 1985. 10. The contract for one mini -truck, four pick-up trucks Bid award and one flat bed truck was awarded to sole bidder, various trucks El Monte Maintenance Co., in the amount of $70,340.20; E1 Monte the Mayor was authorized to execute the contract. Maint.Co. One bid, only, was received and opened in the City Clerk's Office on September 10, 1985. 11. The contract for 18,000 feet of I/C 500 MCM, 37 Bid award strands, copper conductor wire, was awarded to Anaconda copper wire Power Cable Company, low bidder, in the amount of Anaconda Power $28,476.00; the Mayor was authorized to execute the Cable Co. contract and the City Clerk directed to return unsuccessful bidders' guarantees. Five bids were received and opened in the City Clerk's Office on September 10, 1985. 12. Project No. 680, 6 foot high block wall at the City Notice of Yard, Blue Water Construction, was approved and the Completion Mayor authorized to execute the Notice of Completion Proj. 680 and the City Clerk directed to have same recorded. Promotional appointment of Timothy Baker to the Promo appt position of Parks Maintenance Worker III, effective T. Baker September 17, 1985, was approved. 14. The appointment of Madeline Soper to Dispatcher Appt. M. position, effective September 3D, 1985, was approved. Soper 15.
