The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session ' at the above date and time in the Civic Auditorium. Mayor Moses called the meeting to order and led in the salute Call to order to the Flag. No Invocation was given, as Minister was not in attendance at the meeting. No Invocation Roll Call Also present Ceremonial Councilman Camarena presented a Proclamation to Sister Frances Proclamation ougherty commending her for her services to the City. Said to Sister roclamation was read in full by the Director of Finance. Frances Choral Group from our Sister City, Zacatecas, were in Choral Group attendance and sang a medley of songs for the Council and frm Zacatecas audience. Councilman Cruz presented gifts to the members of the Choral Group on behalf of the City. The CONSENT CALENDAR consisting of Items 1 through 22 was approved by motion of Councilman Camarena, seconded by Councilman Cruz and unanimously carried by roll call vote,(Item F-5 amended) with the exception of Item F-6, which was considered under the SPECIAL CALL portion of the Agenda. 1. Sharon Capper, Customer Service Representative, was Lv of Absence allowed six weeks leave of absence, without pay, S. Capper commencing December 2, 1985. 13. The Agreement for the California -Oregon Transmission CA -Oregon Project Development was approved and the Mayor was Trans.Proj. authorized to execute the document. Agmt. 14. Formal bidding procedures were waived pursuant to the Formal bidding Municipal Code and purchase of five padmounted waived-purch transformers from RTE Corporation was authorized at transformers a cost of $11,693.00 each. 15. Appointments of three Police Officer Trainees: Frank Appts.F.Chavez Chavez, Jerry Sullivan and Ernest Conde, were approved, J.Sullivan & effective January 8, 1986. E. Conde 16. The City Attorney apprised the Council of two amendments to the Planning Commission's draft of proposed amendment: that the aggregate of 24 square feet be per 100 lineal feet of street frontage and that the devices be on or over the public right of way of property and that they do not interfere with the use of the right of way or property. The City Clerk read the affidavit of proof of publication of notice of said Hearing published in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune on December 6, 1985 and in the Azusa Herald on December 11, 1985. Testimony was solicited, but none received. Staff reports were submitted to Council for their perusal. The City Attorney apprised Council that Utilities Director Water purve- specifically notified the water purveyors in the immediate yors notified area of Azusa of the time and date of the Hearing and had of hrg provided them with copies'of the proposed plan. Moved by Councilman Cook, seconded by Councilman Camarena and unanimously carried by roll call to close the Hearing. Councilman Cruz offered a resolution entitled: �RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ADOPTING RBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE CITY OF AZUSA. Moved by Councilman Cruz, seconded by Councilman Cook to waive further reading and adopt.
